Get to Know Sarah
Sarah and her family have been blessed to call Greenbrae their home since 2010. They moved here for the quality of life, outstanding public schools and access to the great outdoors.
Sarah holds a B.A in Political Science from the University of Vermont. Prior to being elected to City Council in 2024, she spent the majority of her career in technology. For 12 years, she was at Modo Labs, Inc. and was a member of the executive team. As VP, Sales and Customer Success, she worked to solve the complex problem of digital transformation across Higher Education campuses. She understands how public organizations operate and the intricacies of working across multiple stakeholders to build consensus and implement solutions to drive efficiencies. This experience has shaped her role on the City Council where she continues work across City and County operations to identify cross-functional resources for collaboration and delivery of solutions to benefit all Larkspur and Greenbrae. She is results driven and a servant-oriented leader. Having made some initial strides towards her goals on Council, the time is right to re-elect her to continue progress and leverage her leadership, problem solving and management experience to the people and City of Larkspur.
Her strong commitment to community has been demonstrated through hours of volunteering at Halleck Creek, GGNRA, Cedars, Special Olympics, St. Vincent De Paul as well as through fundraising efforts for Kentfield Invests in Kids (KIK), and Redwood High School (RHS) with a focus on its incredible Music program. Music and the arts have long been integral to Sarah. She is an avid fan and supporter of live music, especially her husband’s band, Funk Nugget, who you may have seen at Larkspur’s Music in the Park. If not, come meet me and dance to Funk Nugget on Saturday, August 29th at the 14th Annual Downtown Larkspur Wine Stroll.
She is a mother of two daughters, one a graduate of Cal Poly SLO and the other UCSB and two dogs. Sarah’s four-legged friends are her shadows and she aspires to learn from their unconditional love and mastery of staying in the moment. In addition to music and animals, Sarah has great love for the sanctuary of the outdoors and spends a lot of time hiking on Mt. Tam, King and Ring Mountains. In the summer of 2024, she completed a 100 mile Tour Du Mont Blanc. She is a chef trained in the culinary principles and techniques of French cuisine and has taught cooking classes, has run a small catering business and is a frequent shopper at the Farmers’ Markets.
Her commitment to family and community is evident through her active involvement in local organizations and events, but loyalty and dedication to preserving the best that Larkspur has to offer will be at the heart of her role on Larkspur’s City Council.
